Someone wants to Buy my furniture, so WHAT DO I DO?

Once your ad is posted you will start to receive emails from prospective buyers.  The email should ask you specific questions about your item.  No one knows who you are until you return the buyer’s email.  If you choose to answer the email you will have a chance to chat with your prospective buyer.  If you and the buyer agree on a price for your item you may want to correspond with the buyer by telephone. (Of course it may be more expeditious to ad your own email and or phone number in the text of the ad)

Once you feel comfortable with the buyer, give them your address and arrange a time for them to come to your home to inspect your item and make the purchase.  If they need help picking up a large item it is usually best for them to rent a UHAUL.  It is customary for a buyer to pay you in cash.
